I have practiced diligently non-dual Kashmir Śaivism (a.k.a. Tantric Śaivism, Śaiva Tantra) since 2002. Kashmir Śaivism includes a variety of Śaiva (consciousness) and Śākta (energy) teachings. The teaching of non-dual Kashmir Śaivism that we are one free unbounded self-luminous consciousness resonates profoundly with me. I am an ardent student of these liberating teachings and practices and make this knowledge freely available during free meditation classes which I teach three times a week. I am actively engaged in and enjoy all levels of life, while appreciating more and more the revelation and experience that our true abiding nature is well hidden in the mundaneness of daily life. Infusing the freedom of the light in the immanence of life breaks down all duality and the mundane becomes sacred.
Sacred Repose, Abiding in Bliss and Freedom is my first book available on Amazon (400 pages, 8.5x11 format). Sacred Repose is a manual for spiritual liberation from the prism of sacred repose. It is an in-depth journey into the non-dual Tantric teaching that there is only one knowing subject reposing in bliss and freedom. The principle of repose, or stillness, is the fundamental principle of creation and is examined from the perspective of five Tantric teachings:
Repose (viśrānti)
Nameless state (anākhya)
Still point (bindu)
Dynamic stillness (kṣobhākṣobha)
Yoga of stillness (nirācārayoga)
The book weaves these five threads of sacred repose into a liberating energy-consciousness matrix for one purpose only – to serve the practitioner on their journey to liberation. Each of these teachings is made accessible through scriptural references, practice insights, meditations, and personal experiences. The book is designed in such a way as to invoke an inner inquiry within the reader to discover their own innate nature. It provides the practices to access and get established in one's deepest nature as luminous unbounded consciousness reposing in bliss and freedom.
My main hobbies and activities are photography, tennis, chi gong, acupressure, gardening, landscaping, growing water lilies and lotuses, hiking, learning Sanskrit, studying scripture, exploring sacred sites, dancing while no one is watching, and walking the dog on the beach (like the dog, I am a beach bum). I never thought that I will write a book - I guess writing has become a major activity for me as I am already working on my second book.
Originally from Bulgaria, I currently reside on Kauai. This picture of me in one of the sacred womb caves in Bulgaria exemplifies the freedom of the light of consciousness to accomplish anything, including melting all manifest duality back into its own Self. I am a humble servant of the light.
